WHAT:  6th graders explore coding and create a tangible product using Scratch, a Makey Makey kit and a variety of intriguing materials

WHY:  Reinforcing the mathematical practice of making sense of problems and persevering in them; helping students understand relationships between programming and tactile/haptic interfaces they are familiar with; putting students in the position of needing and actively wanting information
