WHAT:  Following their weeklong trip to Washington, DC, 7th grade students apply photojournalism skills to report on life of enslaved people in US history

WHY:  Providing restrictive parameters (tell a story with only 5-6 images) builds students’ critical thinking skills; exposing today’s student to the historical past; raising awareness of important and impactful events in the country’s development
