WHAT: The 2nd grade community (students + teachers) fully immerse themselves in all things reading during a culminating end-of-year read-in
WHY: Offering time and space to experience a variety of ways to engage in and appreciate reading—independent reading, partner reading, hosting faculty and staff guest readers, book talks, reader’s theater; building reading stamina; reaping the benefits of a year’s worth of learning; demonstrating the flexibility, adaptability and capabilities of accomplished readers
