WHAT:   Kindergarten students collaborate in a novel way to learn and practice saying “I like chocolate” in Spanish during their Winter unit.

WHY:  Using music and humor to reinforce learning; offering opportunities to safely “sing” during a pandemic; introducing the concept of breaking words into syllables as a Spanish reading strategy; using high-interest topics to support reading and writing in a world language
