WHY: Encouraging inquiry; experimenting with using building materials in new ways (wire as a sculpting tool, wire as a connecting material); introducing learners to architectural dimensions; early exposure to 3 dimensional shapes; offering varied opportunities to explore, test ideas, acquire information and draw conclusions about the world; sparking curiosity and creativity; providing exposure to a pioneering artist who made significant contributions to the art world
